The factory recommends that you disassemble and clean the mags at 500 rnds interval
(500 rnds per mag that is....)
This is the politically correct 10 rounder....
To disassemble, push the center of the bottom plate in about 1/4 inch
Then squeeze in BOTH of the locking tabs at the lower portion of the mag
Then ease the plate, end plug, spring, and the follower - out
Assembling is in reverse. Put the follower, spring, and end plug in first.
Squeeze the locking tabs on the bottom plate and push it up against
the end plug then push the entire assembly in to the body of the mag until
the tabs engage the holes in the mag body. The end plug will snap in place and
keep the bottom plate from coming off.
This concludes the basic field stripping and 'end user maintenance' of
the USP as recommended by the manufacturer.
