Finished scrubbing the barrel and frame already !

So the last dry patch came out of the barrel white and the reset of
the metal parts are free of burnt powder. The frame has been scrubbed down with
your favourite cleaning fluid and dried. No metal shavings from
the bullet casing is left floating around inside.
Recoil spring assembly has been cleaned....

And the locking block and breech/chamber is scrubbed.

A few drops of oil has been applied where recommended by the factory.
My current "Preferred Lube of the Month" is TW-25b from Kleen Bore
Highly recommended !
Now it's time to put it back together.

First drop the barrel in to the frame and then line up
the tip of recoil spring assembly up with the hole in the front of the slide.
Observe the alignment of the mating surface at the rear of the recoil spring assembly
and the one under the barrel locking block

Push the recoil assembly forward then down, then ease it back.
The retaining washer at the rear of the recoil spring column should engage
the front shoulder of the locking block and retain the assembly in place.

Position the slide over the frame forward of the front locking inserts

Then push the slide rearward.....

Until the slide release notch is aligned with slide release axle hole...

Then install the slide release and put the slide back in neutral

Next...
