THING THAT GOES SPROINK !
There are two versions of the recoil spring assembly,
the early ones does
not have the captive c-clip
at the end of the guide rod and the spring
will come off when the guide rod/recoil spring assembly is removed, so go easy.
OK, push the (breach) end of the guide rod/recoil spring assy. forward about 1/8 inch
then tilt it up and away from the barrel and ease it back out until
the recoil spring disengaged from the front of the slide then remove and set it aside.

Then you can lift the barrel out.

Don't forget to clean and inspect the rear of the slide.
Mainly the firing pin and the firing pin block
The firing pin should not protrude from the hole in breach face without
the firing pin block (dis)engaged.

And definitely brush under the extractor claw well while cleaning

You wouldn't want any crud building up either under the claw or on the breech face.
