The UITC Night Stalker/SO laser aiming module is a modular laser aiming
device that can be mounted on a variety of firearms. The law enforcement
module contains two laser diodes and an infrared flashlight for use with
night vision equipment. The standard laser consists of a 635nm laser beam.
The Night Stalker/SO offers the option of dual visible or dual infrared
lasers which can be configured for long and short range settings. Both
may be independently adjusted. Mounting hardware is supplied separately
and is available for the Special Operations Forces Offensive Handgun,
the MP5, and the USP. Other options include the M4A1, M16 and Sig Sauer
pistols.
The Night Stalker/SO has recessed control buttons which control each
sighting system separately, and have no exposed wires. The controls and
quick release levers are on both sides allowing fully ambidextrous operation
of the unit. Operation involves first selecting the desired laser
by switching the appropriate button. The laser can then be activated
touching the activation pad. Laser blink rates may be programmed
for identification purposes.
An optional flashlight attachment mounts to the bottom of the laser
housing and can be operated by the buttons on the main laser unit. Brightness
and beam shaping can also be adjusted according to the situation.
As with the rest of the system, the module is waterproof.
UITC warrants their products for one year after purchase The single laser Night Stalker/SO unit retails for $460, while the dual visible laser unit costs $605.
